Loot and Move
Our next destination would be Leber, to clear it before the attackers got a chance to bring it to the ground.
Before we went Gabriel told us to loot a few houses for supplies. It made sense. If we weren't there the town would have fallen further, plus we weren't getting paid, our equipment wasn't being fixed or replaced. This would be our reward. Ben was also told to call Gabriel, Jay. It was quicker to say and so it would take less time to say in battle. His experienced companions already used Jay as his name. I guess it made sense.
We got on our way, it was quiet but I never really spoke much anyway. I thought lots though. I thought about the battle in hand. Did we have enough men? Were they healthy enough? Were they mentally ready? Some had just buried their friends. We hadn't slept or recovered really. This would be 2 battles in one day but I guess it needed to be done. Was I ready for this? Last time I didn't do well, but nobody seemed to notice. I wanted to prove my ability to Jay and Ben. Jay was the leader here and he seemed to be the only one truely focused on the task at hand. You could tell by Bens face that he was reliving his first kill over and over, but to Jay it just looked like another days work. I admired that.
