Adaptiveness vs Aimlessness
It is possible to manipulate your own shape as shown by Mr Adaptive here, but it will only unfortunately be a show. Ever heard the quote "fake it till you make it"?. Sometimes in an attempt to get that thing that we want we can change little bits about ourself to make us appear more attractive to our potential investor.
Maybe in the compatibility game you've waited for even a slight match for many many years and failed, and arrived at the conclusion that maybe it's you. Maybe you felt the need to change yourself a little (or how you come across at least) to get you somewhere closer to the place you want to be. Maybe you decided that your receding hairline wasn't that hot so you decided to go totally bald (so nobody knew any different). Maybe you wanted to cover that offending mole with a beard, or for the ladies, maybe you decided that dying your hair blonde was going to work for you. All of these are examples of changing your shape. As mentioned before though, you can't change the colour of your shape. It may change on it's own accord as you grow older and wiser but it's changes are totally out of your control. The problem with manipulating your shape however, is (like dying your hair) it will eventually grow back and turn into it's old shape, or even a new shape based again on your experiences.
Miss Aimless here is a great example of a perfect target for Mr Aimless. Being aimless is kind of like not stopping to look at herself, but just wandering about aimlessly looking for a whatever or whoever. Just someone she gets on with maybe. The issue with not looking at herself is that she doesn't know what sort of a shape gap she has that needs filling. So a clever Mr Adaptive can come along, get involved early whilst his shape is not a proper match for her gap and slowly adapt himself as he finds out more about her. He's being optimistic in hoping that by changing his appearance a little, she'll invest in him fully, and he will work on himself to help him fit that roll so that they can become a nice secure couple. Works for some (the stronger willed) i'm sure but most would eventually buckle as their true shape and colours begin to appear.
