2. Meet Gabriel
Ben often told stories about a warrior called Gabriel. Gabriel was apparently a good friend of Bens from school, who had moved away but kept in contact via letters. The stories told that Gabriel's town came under attack by a small force of demon like humans with scared faces and horns. Together with a group of his friends they managed to force the attackers back into the nearby forests, thus rescuing their town. The then labelled heroes decided to take it upon themselves to become the towns guards, and force back any horn faced intruders that threatened to cause harm to the local towns people.
I was told many tales of many battles, and I kind of enjoyed them. I liked how Gabriel was the well-equipped, youthful leader of a small troop of under equipped (and some would say under aged) warriors that fought with hand made gear and light armour. Gabriel had marked his leadership within the group by wielding a red Spyder crested sword, red armor and branded leg wear. Ben could never tell me where Gabriel got hold of such technology or why none of the others had it, but either way, I enjoyed the stories, and was always entertained by the idea of all this apparently happening so close to home.
