14. First Reunion
Jay said he'd sort out the cash in a bit. He said this was a different sort of job so he'll sort it all out a little different. I didn't care... we'd looted enough as far as I was concerned. We hung around resting or telling the locals of the days events for about an hour when a big metal machine came rolling in. Ben told me that was one of them transports. We don't get them in our town so it was yet another new exciting experience. It came to a stop, and it's side opened, allowing a small group of people out. There was a very important and powerful looking man, but everyone else seemed pretty normal. That's when I noticed a few faces that i knew.
I saw Brad, my skating mate from Llewthor, as well as an old school mate, Stan and a lad from Ben's year, Matt. Stan and Brad came up to me telling me that there was a breakthrough of these demon like creatures, and that our lands had been censored from their existence in the past as to keep us safe from it. The situation had become so critical that we had been called upon by Big Ian of Sanders City. I told them that I had just fought a few small fights with Ben, Jays warriors and a hand full of others, and that my leg and arm was wounded but I wore a bandage on my head just to stop the throbbing. I explained that I was up for fighting another battle as long as we had the support of some more fighters. I wasn't ready to go it alone yet. Its hard work out there... but at the same time... kind of fun.
At that moment Big Ian (the powerful looking man) called forth for anyone who was willing to take this defense further and ushered them towards the towns community halls. All of our defense team followed him there along with the group that he had transported here. It seemed as though our victory stories had sold the idea to many locals too. There was a massive group heading into the halls. This was exiting.
