6. The Comic Characters
This image was set at the end of the comic. Its job was to explicitly explain what the deal was with the characters. Infact here's the text:
"Nev is a malfunctioned robot that broke away from his factory prison and now walks the streets, disguised as a human, working out what makes a man. After doing a good deed a genie gifted him with 3 wishes that he would earn or fi nd at a later date. He only wanted one thing, he wanted to be A REAL MAN. Nev earned a better disguise which gave him hair that grows. He later found a conscience, and now he must earn his organs by finding true love. No easy task believe me.
Andre is what you might call the good side of Nev’s conscience. Personally, I’d call him a misunderstood angel. He is a master of manipulation, and had, had Nev under his control for some time before Damian showed his face. Andre hates to see an unhappy face and will do anything to convert it into a smile. In Andre’s perfect world, Nev’s every action would bring happiness to the people, regardless of how torturous the actions are for Nev to perform.
Damian is what you might call the bad side of Nev’s conscience. Again, I’d simply call him a misunderstood demon. He will work relentlessly behind the scenes trying to make life easy for his possessor. In Damian’s eyes, the perfect world would have Nev on a mountain, and everyone else in the world bowing before him and feeding all of his hungers. Until then Damian won’t give in, he’ll do it all himself if he has to.
NEV IN BRIEF: On his own Nev was nothing but an unsociable calculator, but with his new disguise and conscience, he is ready to brave the real world and earn his life, in his quest for love."
See.. not that great hey :) 14D2 does a better job though, even if it does change the characters some what.
